Do you use any oil in cooking your breakfast
No, I don’t use oil at all for any meals. I use oil but the oil that is IN the food like olives, avocados, and other things that have oil in them. I just leave the fiber, water, minerals, micronutrients, vitamins in the foods.

I don't think you should include peanut butter in with processed foods. Saying eat peanuts instead of peanut butter. The peanut butter I buy has nothing but peanuts in it. No added oil or sugar. It's just ground peanuts.
Anything not whole is processed. I understand you like peanut butter and that’s ok. Occasionally I eat it. It’s not a weight loss food. Peanut butter is a minimally processed food but it IS processed.
An interesting and valuable conversation. I note the comment on avoiding olive oil however I my reading indicates that 'numerous epidemiological, clinical and experimental studies suggest that the consistent intake of olive oil can limit oxidative damage and inflammation, thereby restoring endothelial function and slowing atherogenic development as well as aiding in the control of cardiovascular risk factors'
Is there a chart that will gives us all the cholesterol optimal amounts that Dr. Esselstyn would approve of.

Dr Lisle always explains in a way I can understand. So I've been eating WFPB oil free for a month now. I'm able to make this drastic change from ultra processed by his lectures. I do it higher calorie density to help with the transition. A 2 lbs weight loss a week is acceptable to me. As I continue to have success, I know know what to put down next; peanut butter, popcorn, maple syrup and nuts. Thanks for having Dr Lisle, Gustavo ❤

I think I am suffering from the ego trap~
Best treatment for atherosclerosis: Vitamin C Why do only coronary arteries clog with cholesterol and not veins or small capillaries? If "high cholesterol" is the cause of clogging your arteries, why doesn't it clog the arteries in your finger, your nose, and the smallest capillaries in your toe? Scurvy = No vitamin C in your diet. Symptom: Your blood vessels break and you bleed to death. Think of the sailor of the past. Scurvy of the heart = Just enough vitamin C from food. Symptom: Arteries around the heart are not strong enough to resist high blood pressure. Damage is repaired with cholesterol LP(a) to prevent worse. After years of repair, your arteries become clogged. A guinea pig can also not synthesize vitamin C by themself, just like humans, and needs supplementing 50 mg vitamin C every day and weighs only 1 kg. 1 orange = 50 mg vitamin C. Do you really think that 75 mg vitamin C for YOU is enough? What is your weight? Enough vitamin C supplement of at least 3000 mg. per day gives strong and flexible arteries. Cholesterol is not needed as a repair agent. Cholesterol in your coronary arteries is broken down and burned in your liver. Yes, that’s something I do sometimes. Sometimes I put greens as a layer and something on top. When I start making videos for the book, I will mention that!

In fact, I would be ashamed to be a medical doctor in these times. I have a question for you: do you eat any salt in any form or shape? Because SOS free IS sugar oil salt free, yet a lot of people who claim to be SOS free still consume soy sauce, et cetera, that means NO SALT, right? I can see Dr. G has lost his graciousness and is now a cringe to watch. I mean I don’t blame him. But gosh this interview is hilariously ridiculous.
I've never heard Dr. E talk about HDL and how diet dictates level and how effective or inflammatory it is. Thank you!

Almost no one is going to steam leafy greens 6 times per day. I don't mean this as a slam.
You don’t have to steam greens six times a day. You steam them once and eat it 5 or 6 times a day as a little side. Nobody really needs to do anything they don’t want to. It’s how Dr. Esselstyn has reversed heart disease for decades.

Hello Gloria. It was a hard decision to make but we had to decide to leave out photos or the cost would have quadrupled. This is our first, modest try at our first book. Just like the famous Chef AJ did in her first book "Unprocessed", she had to skip the photos as well. What we will do, is make these recipes during the year and we will invite those of you who have purchased the book to join in our cooking demo. We will also post photos on our websites as we go. It's the best we can do at the time with our very limited funds. I am sorry you were disappointed but hopefully the flavor of the recipes will balance the lack of photos.

hi, just purchased the book on Amazon and I did it because you always give so much whether it's of yourself or asking Dr mcDougall questions on our behalf, etc.. I have PTSD and acute insomnia from a Running punch to my head of the doctors my patient rights and my body violated and I don't have justice and apology. Nothing it's so shocking more crimes so I gained weight a lot of it and slowly gradually I lost it starting first with high carb Hannah who made Dr mcDougall's teaching, sexy. Andrew Taylor's been a huge influence, but eye To struggle tahini is my downfall white rice and tahini if I'm binging. it's been almost 12 years of a lot of brutal, insomnia, etc. and it really impacted the middle of my body. That's where the fat is that's where it shows up if I'm in too much fat combine with a carb rather than simple clean eating. I'm exhausted mentally and physically I'm trying to reset my sleep through an app called Sleep Reset... i'm making improvements then I slide back and have really severe insomnia. I'm so tired and I have a belly. I just had a beautiful salad Romain and kale and kimchi sauerkraut and I put some tahini on it so it's not low-fat but it was just delicious.
